RUG TRADE WITH A LONG TRADITION
Two things are most important in the rug trade: firstly, trust. The trust that our customers place in us, but also in our suppliers, with whom we have maintained business relationships for decades and therefore always get the best carpets at a fair price.
On the other hand, it is tradition. Managing Director Hady Rahbar remembers: "In 1975, my father set off on his journey from Persia to the cosy Münsterland region and opened a shop for oriental carpets. Together with my siblings, I spent many hours in my father's business in my early childhood. For me, this place was like an adventure playground. Daredevil jumps from pile to pile and playing between what felt like metre-high carpet towers with the beautifully decorated borders of the Persian carpets.
It increasingly became a place of lifelong education. Our father introduced us to the material science and showed us the art of carpet restoration. We learnt to appreciate the craft and to treat the treasures from the Orient in a sustainable way. A passion was kindled.
During my training and subsequent studies, my passion for the craft never left me. I decided to follow in my father's footsteps, with the aim of bringing the family tradition into the modern age in the fourth generation."
Particularly important to us:
The love of carpets
Our tradition is characterised by the carpet trade. We jokingly say that "carpet lint flows through our veins". Each unique piece is carefully selected in the country of origin. Our long-standing relationships with weavers enable us to select only the most beautiful, exclusive pieces for our customers.
Reliability
In the carpet industry in particular, reliability plays a central role. The industry has been suffering from a bad reputation for decades as a result of out- and door-to-door sales. Now in our fourth generation, we stand for integrity, quality and fair prices through direct import. This is a central building block from which the satisfaction of our customers grows.
Sustainability
Social responsibility towards the countries of origin is a matter of course. We are affiliated to the organisation care & fair, which has set itself the goal of improving the living and training conditions of carpet weavers and their families in the production countries and actively combating child labour.
